1. Choose a reasonable time to travel - Go in the low season

  • Avoid the high season (June - August) because prices often increase.
  • Go in the low season (September - November), the weather is pleasant, there are fewer visitors, room rates and services are also cheaper.

2. Stay in a cheap homestay or hostel

  • Hoi An has many lovely homestays, priced from 200,000 - 400,000 VND/night.
  • Some homestays also provide free bicycles for you to ride around the old town.
  • If you go in a large group, you can rent a small apartment or villa to split the cost, which will be cheaper than staying in a hotel.

3. Travel economically

  • Walk or rent a bicycle (~50,000 - 100,000 VND/day) to slowly explore the old town and enjoy its ancient beauty.
